Best getaway from the city. Wonderful place to stay with everything you need. Most beautiful view of the mountains and direct access to hiking trails. Lots to see and do in the area.

Beautiful view. Quiet and peaceful. Highbourne Cottages has the best view we have seen in a long time. Breathtaking. Peaceful and quiet in nature. The only request we have is for a braai area where we can burn nice camel thorn wood. The Webber disappeared into thin air with a previous storm. The gas braai was an option, but a small fire is still the best. If it rains, you can't braai. The gas braai is right under the water drainage area of the roof, and everything is soaking wet. With our location bordering the Monks Cowl Heritage Site, fires are a huge risk and we feel the gas braais are the safest option as to not have the wind pick up any ashes or coals which could cause wildfires. So glad you loved the outside shower too... with a view over the mountains, it's hard not to love!
