Description
Hippo’s Honk at Kruger is a beautiful double-storey self-catering holiday home with full solar power, in Marloth Park and ideally located , approximately 40 m from the Kruger National Park boundary fence. The Crocodile Bridge entrance gate to the Kruger National Park is situated about 20 km from the property. All interior windows are tinted to further reduce heat.
The house accommodates up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The upstairs main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The second bedroom contains a double bed and makes use of a separate bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. The third bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed and includes an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet. An additional outdoor shower and toilet are also available. All bedrooms and living areas are equipped with energy-efficient inverters and have pre-paid air-conditioning units and also fans. Quality linen and bath towels are provided.
The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with 2 fridges, a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, cutlery, and crockery, and is complemented by a scullery. The dining area seats 6 guests, while the lounge offers comfortable seating and a flat-screen TV with Netflix and YouTube. The living area opens onto a patio with a beautiful "infinity" swimming pool and a big braai boma with a big fire pit. The upper-level balcony features additional undercover braai facilities with a 6-seater table and a swing bench . Free Wi-Fi, effective insect screens throughout (fly screens) on the doors and windows, 2 feeding troughs for wildlife, and secure on-site parking are all available.
Marloth Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, kudus, blue wildebeest, impalas, bushbabies, mongooses, warthogs, and bushbuck, all of which roam freely around the houses. Activities in the area include wildlife-viewing safaris, bush walks, cycling, and day trips to the Kruger National Park via the Crocodile Bridge Gate. There are also several restaurants in Marloth Park
