Description

Huntshoek Lodge is perched high on the banks of the Great Fish River on a farm that’s 43 km on the N2 from Grahamstown. It seeks to offer guests a relaxing bush getaway. This lodge is ideal for small intimate groups, mini-conferences, team-building weekends, couples, or solo travellers.

The thatched chalets offer quality accommodation with en-suite bathrooms and private decks. The rooms have comfortable seating with tea- coffee-making facilities. Huntshoek Lodge is the main lodge which consists of 5 chalets, a communal kitchen, a central lounge and dining areas, and wooden decks overlooking the rugged yet magnificent scenery of the natural surroundings. Guests can enjoy a meal at the main lodge or cool down in the swimming pool.

The remaining chalets consist of either 2 single beds or a queen-size bed and feature an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin and toilet. The private decks have either an outdoor bath or shower. Guests have access to the communal kitchen at Huntsdrift Lodge. Both the Hunters and Gymnogene Chalets have their own kitchenettes.

This lodge has a diverse and rugged countryside which comes alive with warthog, buck, zebra, and wildebeest. Guests can also enjoy a game drive which can be arranged directly with Huntshoek Lodge. Its abundance of birdlife makes this lodge the avid birdwatcher's delight, while the river offers a great freshwater angling experience. Secure parking is available on the premises.
