Description
Inqevu Lodge is perfectly situated on a private and secure estate at the entrance to Eagles Lodge, just past Sandys Cabin on the R600. The name "Inqevu," meaning Bearded Vulture, reflects the lodge's breathtaking views of the Central Drakensberg. Surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens filled with roses, proteas, and vibrant birdlife, the property offers a tranquil retreat. Guests can also enjoy a shared rock pool, perfect for cooling off while soaking in the scenic surroundings.
Accommodation is offered in 3 individually furnished cottages with ranging sleeping capacities. Each cottage has comfortable beds and private bathrooms with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
Each unit has an open-plan kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a breakfast island with stools. It extends to a dining area and lounge furnished with comfy seating and a TV.
The cottages expand to their private patios with outdoor seating, braai facilities, and stunning views of the mountains.
Inqevu Lodge offers access to a wide variety of activities in the surrounding area, ensuring an unforgettable experience for every guest. Activities include exploring animal and bird sanctuaries, nature reserves, and historical sites, as well as enjoying arts, crafts, and cultural attractions. Adventure seekers can opt for extreme sports, hiking trails, horse riding, helicopter flips, or 4x4 trails. Visitors can also relax by fishing, painting, golfing, or exploring unique wildflowers and waterfalls. The area boasts the Drakensberg Boys Choir, San rock art, museums, and charming pubs and restaurants for a touch of local culture.
Please note that the owners dogs (4 dogs) lives on the premises. They extremely friends and loves the guest's attention. They are like apart of the family.
