Kakibos is a charming self-catering chalet situated in the south-eastern section of the Big 5 Dinokeng Game Reserve, just over an hour's drive from Pretoria. Nestled in a tranquil bush setting, it offers an ideal escape for couples, families, and friends seeking a relaxing bushveld getaway.
The chalet can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 2 en-suite bedrooms, a kitchen, and an open-plan living area. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom contains 2 three-quarter beds. Each en-suite bathroom is fitted with a shower, a washbasin, and a toilet. The lounge includes a double sleeper couch for 2 additional guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a 4-plate stove and oven, microwave, toaster, fridge-freezer, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The lounge is furnished with comfortable seating, providing a welcoming space to relax after a day of exploring the reserve.
Guests can unwind on the covered patio with outdoor seating and a gas braai overlooking a waterhole frequented by wildlife. The chalet also features a spacious garden, traditional braai facilities, and a private splash pool. Self-drive permits for the Dinokeng Game Reserve can be purchased, providing access to more than 120 km of scenic game-viewing roads, while guided game drives and bush walks are available at an additional cost. As a Dinokeng Game Reserve Certified Partner, Kakibos can issue guests with a conservation fee discount voucher, reducing the daily conservation fee to R85 per person. Conservation fees are payable directly to the reserve.
