Description
Kalahari Hide is situated on a smallholding just 5 km outside Kuruman and is ideal for travellers en route to the West Coast, Kgalagadi, or Namibia. The Moffat Mission Station, located just behind the new Mokala Mall with a restaurant and shop, is approximately 1 km away. The property now proudly operates on full solar power for all guest rooms, ensuring that load shedding or bad weather will not disrupt your stay.
Kalahari Hide offers a farm-style atmosphere with a variety of accommodation options.
The Cottage can accommodate up to 5 guests and is set apart from the main house to ensure privacy. It features 2 bedrooms that share a bathroom. The main bedroom is furnished with a queen-size bed, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. A sleeper couch is available in the lounge. The cottage also includes a fully equipped kitchen and an open-plan dining and living area with a TV offering selected DStv channels, including KykNet, M-Net, and SuperSport. Outside, there is a patio with braai facilities and parking available in front of the unit.
The Semi-Self-Catering Rooms are furnished with queen-size beds and have en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers. Each unit includes a small fridge, microwave, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and basic cutlery. The rooms also feature a TV with selected DStv channels, including M-Net, KykNet, and SuperSport. These rooms are very private and are located behind the lapa.
The swimming pool is located near the cottage and is available to all guests staying at Kalahari Hide. For safety reasons, children are not allowed to swim without supervision. The lapa and braai facilities are available to guests by prior arrangement only.
Kuruman offers a range of attractions, including the Boesmansgat sinkhole, the Moffat Mission Station, the Truce Tree, and the Wonderwerk Cave.
