Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful location. Kara Mia is home away from home for us and Hennie is a most wonderful human being. We love everything about Kara Mia.

Fantastic breakaway close to nature. We needed quiet time just to relax and recharge, and we were not disappointed. Everything we wanted and more. Very friendly host.

Location, location, location. Location, location, location! It is directly across the road from Stoney Point where the penguin colony is. In the evenings, the penguins leave the coast and waddle to their nests, some of which are directly opposite the self-catering door. The Stoney Point Reserve has a boardwalk which is well worth paying for as you see more penguins and also support conservation. However, there are lots of penguins outside the paid area, and by staying at this place, you have the opportunity to see what they are up to at all times of the day. The kitchen is well supplied with appliances, cutlery and crockery.

January summer heat very warm to hot. Air fans not much help; aircon will help. Self-catering accommodation, there is no customer service except the politeness of the owner. Accommodation is clean and satisfactory. Garage parking and entrance to apartment 100%. Restaurant and penguin viewing within easy walking distance.

Relaxing, peaceful and overall amazing. What a relaxing and peaceful 3 days we had. Hennie is a gem and really makes you feel at home. Beautiful home and awesome setup. Love the braai room.
