Klipspringer River Cottage offers a quiet and private stay in the remote Witzenberg Valley, set in the heart of the Western Cape. The cottage is positioned at the foot of the surrounding mountain ranges and is bordered by established orchards, creating a peaceful setting away from city life. It overlooks the Olifants River, with easy access to private swimming spots and small waterfalls within walking distance.
The cottage offers two bedrooms and is well-suited to families. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, basin, and toilet. The second bedroom is fitted with 2 single beds and is complemented by an outdoor shower for a simple, open-air bathing experience. The lounge includes a sofa bed for children, providing additional sleeping space.
The open-plan living area combines a comfortable sitting space, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table, as well as an indoor fireplace for colder evenings.
A wide wraparound patio extends from the living area and looks out over the surrounding mountains. A built-in braai area allows guests to enjoy relaxed outdoor meals while taking in the valley views.
The cottage is suitable for guests who enjoy fly-fishing, mountain biking and hiking, or who simply want to slow down and enjoy the natural surroundings. It offers a genuine and peaceful stay within the Cape Floral Kingdom.
