Description
Kransberg Country Lodge Guest Farm is 25km outside Thabazimbi on a gravel road. The lodge offers a tranquil getaway on the border of the Marakele National Park and is popular for its remote location below the majestic high cliffs that act as a breeding ground for a large colony of the endangered species of Cape Vulture.
The lodge comprises 6 en-suite bedrooms, each with its own verandah from where guests can enjoy garden views or views of the cliffs. 4 of the rooms each contain a double bed and 2 of the rooms have 2 single beds in each. There is a shared kitchen The communal lounge area is comfortably furnished and offers a relaxed atmosphere where guests can sit around the fireplace in the winter months or relax out on the verandah and enjoy the view.
The lodge is ideal for family and friend reunions, strategy breakaway sessions for small groups, or just individual overnight accommodation. The lodge is also often used as a base from where day trips can be made to explore the area. It is advisable to use a high clearance vehicle as the road conditions can be unpredictable.
