Description
Kruger House Lodge is a spacious holiday home situated on a scenic farm just off the R541, approximately 24 km from Machadodorp. Surrounded by mountains and valleys, the lodge boasts lovely views of the trout ponds and offers a peaceful countryside retreat for families and groups.
This double-storey lodge can accommodate 12 guests and comprises 6 en-suite bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms are located in the main house, while the remaining 2 bedrooms are situated in an adjoining wing. Three of the bedrooms are furnished with queen-size beds, while the other 3 bedrooms each contain 2 single beds. The en-suite bathrooms are fitted with either a bath or a shower. Linen and bath towels are provided for guests’ convenience.
The main living area features an open-plan design with high ceilings and a fully equipped kitchen containing a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery, as well as a breakfast bar with stools. The dining area has seating space for 10 guests, while the lounge offers comfortable seating and a TV. Leading from the living area is an indoor braai room with an additional dining table that seats 6 guests and large windows overlooking the fishing dams.
Guests can enjoy access to approximately 70 km of inland hiking trails featuring waterfalls, indigenous mountain forests, and the sandstone rock formations of the Skurweberg. Various game species and birdlife can also be viewed on the farm.
For larger groups, the adjacent Num-num Lodge can also be booked, accommodating an additional 4 guests for a total capacity of 16 guests.
