Situated near Rankin's Pass, Langkloof 1919 provides a charming retreat on a working farm within the Waterberg Biosphere. The farm was acquired in 1919, and the farmhouse was built in 1921. It has been restored to evoke the quiet and remote farm life of the early twentieth century, while modern conveniences have been subtly incorporated so as not to disrupt the atmosphere of a bygone era.
Accommodation is offered in a timeless, historic farmhouse, suitable for 4 adults and 1 child. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, basin, and toilet. The second bedroom features a queen-size bed with an en-suite bathroom comprising a shower, basin, and toilet. An additional child-only bed is also provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with a gas stove, fridge, cutlery, crockery, and pots and pans. Tea- and coffee-making facilities are available, and the kitchen overlooks a stone herb bed that changes with the seasons.
The house features a wrap-around patio, allowing guests to enjoy the views and weather from every angle. A built-in braai is provided on the back patio, while an additional open-air braai area is available on the property.
Langkloof 1919 encourages a slow-living lifestyle, with opportunities for hiking, swimming, and long-distance mountain biking in the surrounding Waterberg landscape.
