Will do again. Excellent like home away from home!

Disappointing check-out process overshadowed a good stay. Our experience at Lekkerrus Gastehuis had great potential but was ultimately marred by unprofessional management during check-out. The positives: Accommodation: The room was spacious and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, ensuring a good night's rest. Amenities: We appreciated having a table and chairs, which allowed us to avoid sitting on the bed while eating, something that is often the case in other places. Arrival: The owner's wife warmly welcomed us and thoughtfully offered fresh milk. Communication issues: Check-in: On the day of our arrival, we were initially told we could only check in after 16:00. However, after we requested a refund due to this delay, he reversed his decision and allowed us to check in at the standard time. Check-out: The morning of our departure was very stressful. Before 08:00, the owner approached us and asked if we were looking for him. Ten minutes later, after we had just finished our breakfast and packing our last belongings, he abruptly demanded that we move our vehicle so the next guests could park and unload. The major concern: This request forced us to rush our departure and carry our remaining luggage to the relocated vehicle. To our surprise, the next guests were allowed to walk straight into our room while my wife was still inside finalising her packing. Given that standard check-in is usually around 14:00, it is completely unacceptable, disrespectful, and highly unprofessional to push paying guests out prematurely to accommodate early arrivals. While the property itself is lovely, the owner's hostile and rushed attitude at departure overshadowed the hospitality we received from his wife. We were planning to leave early anyway, but there was no reason to rush us out like that just after 08:00 this morning.

Comfortable and homely. It was a very comfortable stay. Nico was friendly and helpful. My daughter left her laptop charger at the guest house, and Nico was kind enough to call us to collect it.
