Description
Lewensdroom Game Farm and Lodge is situated on a working farm in a very private, quiet, and safe area at the foot of the Waterberg, 28 km outside of Bela-Bela. It is ideally suited to nature lovers, with the sounds of jackals in the evenings and waking to the lion's roar. The lodge accommodates a minimum of 14 adults, up to a max of 32 guests per booking.
The Lodge comprises a large communal, open-plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen, a lounge with full DStv, a dining area, a pool table, and a large bar area. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and electrical oven, a large steel gas plate which is ideal for breakfast, a fridge-freezer, microwave, and crockery and cutlery. It also has a built-in braai with braai grids and large black pots (no 3 to 12) where guests can enjoy preparing a meal together, even in poor weather.
Just outside the Lodge, there are 9 private en-suite bedrooms. There are 3 large family rooms, each with a queen-size bed and 4 single beds where 6 guests can sleep. There are also 3 twin bedrooms with queen beds, and 3 bedrooms with 2 single beds each. Each room has a shower, toilet,t and washbasin. The lodge provides each guest with a bath towel.
The lodge also offers a large open boma area for huge bonfires, a swimming pool for the summer days, and a hot tub (additional costs do apply). There is a kids' playroom where the kids can play under the watchful eyes of the parents. The lodge has 32 beds, but can provide accommodation for up to 40 guests on request. There is also an outsidekids's play area with a trampoline and a jungle gym. On request, a jumping castle or inflatable slip and slide can be booked as well at an additional fee.
We have a large entertainment area that can be set up for more formal dinners and parties, or can be set up as a nice and open boardroom.om
Guests can freely explore the farm using the hiking and cycling trails. They can even do self-drive game drives. The farm offers an abundance of game (11 species) and birdlife. Angling enthusiasts can enjoy free catch-and-release fishing at one of our two private dams, which are home to carp, bass, various species of tilapia, and catfish. The one dam area also has its own lapa and braai facilities for a beautiful and private picnic! Guests are welcome to explore the dam and row on any of our paddle or rowing boats provided. We also provide lifejackets.
Ice and extra firewood can be purchased on the farm.
Lewensdroom is ideal for any group twisheswish to spend quality time together with no disturbance from anyone else. As this is a self-catering lodge, three times daily cleaning and dishwashing can be arranged before your visit at an additional fee so that the guests can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty of the African sun at Lewensdroom Game Lodge.
