Description

Makhato 85 is a thatched self-catering bush lodge located in the Sondela Nature Reserve near Bela Bela. The Sondela Nature Reserve in the Limpopo province is a private game reserve just 150 km from Johannesburg, where you can enjoy the tranquillity of the bushveld, encounters with zebra, kudu, impala, and giraffe, or a spot of bird watching.

The unit comprises 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, an upstairs loft room, and a lounge area offering comfortable seating, a TV with DStv. The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet, twin washbasins, and an outdoor shower. The second bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and a separate bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and twin washbasins. The third bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds and a separate guest toilet.

The open-plan kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, cutlery, crockery, utensils, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, and a breakfast island that flows to the 8-seater dining table. The adjacent downstairs lounge offers comfortable seating, a TV with DStv, and leads out to the patio offering braai facilities, an outdoor dining table, and a bush veld view.

Guests can enjoy the outside braai area and fire pit, perfect for a friend's and family gathering.

Sondela offers an on-site restaurant and bar, a farmyard coffee shop, a general dealer for basic necessities, communal swimming pools, a wildlife centre, and the on-site Iketla Wellness and Spa. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy including game drives, horse rides, bicycles for hire, a 4x4 obstacle course, and guided quad rides.
