Description
Makonette Marloth Park is a 4-bedroom self-catering lodge situated in Marloth Park, a residential wildlife estate in Mpumalanga, set along the Crocodile River on the boundary of Kruger National Park.
The lodge comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests and consists of 4 en-suite bedrooms. Three bedrooms are furnished with king-size beds, while the fourth bedroom offers 2 ⅔ beds. All bedrooms feature both a bath and a shower, with the 2 downstairs bathrooms also offering outdoor showers. Each bedroom opens directly to the outside and is fully air-conditioned.
The fully equipped kitchen includes quality appliances such as a fridge, stove, oven, air fryer, microwave, coffee grinder and plunger, as well as a washing machine, dishwasher and ice maker. The air-conditioned lounge offers comfortable seating and a TV with full DStv channels. The property offers free Wi-Fi, fans throughout, a solar power system and a JoJo water tank for added convenience.
The living area opens onto a covered patio with a built-in braai, and a separate boma area also provides a braai where guests can relax under the stars and enjoy the sounds of the bush.
Marloth Park is well known for its free-roaming wildlife, including giraffe, zebra and kudu that move freely between homes, creating a relaxed bush-living experience. Guests can enjoy walking, cycling and wildlife viewing within the park, as well as day trips for game drives in the neighbouring Kruger National Park. Additional nearby activities include tiger fishing and quad biking. The town is approximately 390 kilometres from Pretoria and offers local facilities such as supermarkets, restaurants and a filling station.
