Marloth Bush Retreat offers tranquil self-catering accommodation in a thatched hideaway on the southern border of the Kruger National Park. Surrounded by untamed bushveld vegetation, the property is home to a variety of game species and over 300 bird species, making it ideal for nature lovers.
The guest house can accommodate 8 guests in 4 en-suite bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath and shower. The remaining 3 bedrooms each contain 2 single beds and have en-suite bathrooms fitted with showers. Linen and bath towels are provided, but guests are required to bring their own swimming towels. The lounge offers a cosy space to unwind, while ceiling fans throughout and an air-conditioner in the main bedroom provide comfort. The air-conditioner operates on a prepaid system. The kitchen is well-equipped with an electric stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, and basic appliances.
Outside, guests have access to a covered patio with a built-in braai, and a splash pool is available for cooling off on hot summer days. There are also several nearby restaurants and pubs for those who prefer dining out.
Guests can enjoy the sounds of the African bush, including lions, hippos, and hyenas, with the chance to see elephants and buffalo along the Crocodile River. The area is a haven for birdwatchers, with sightings including hornbills, eastern nicators, and the distinctive call of the African fish eagle.
