Description
Maweni Lodge is cradled between mountains and situated 25 km from Queenstown in the Eastern Cape. The tranquillity, views and home-cooked meals are what attract most people to Maweni Lodge. Accommodation is ideally suited to groups or families who enjoy bird watching, game viewing, walking and casual fishing.
There are 5 individual en-suite thatch and stone chalets available, each able to accommodate 2 people and elegantly furnished. Each chalet is equipped with a bar fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities. A warm electric blanket and a wall heater provide warmth on chilly winter nights. Each chalet has its own private verandah with chairs and a table, and is serviced daily.
The main lodge unit has a comfortable lounge and dining area, a large bar and welcoming verandah, as well as a pool and inviting garden to relax in.
Guests can also enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including:
Bush walks and hiking trails
River picnics
Game viewing on the property
Bass fishing (catch and release only)
