A breakage deposit per unit is payable prior to arrival. Milkwood Beach Cottages will contact guests regarding the payment. The breakage deposit covers any damage, including damage caused by smoking in the units. Smoking is strictly prohibited, and any cleaning costs resulting from smoke will be deducted from the breakage deposit. The deposit will be refunded within one to three days after departure, following an inspection of the unit.
Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out is at 09:00.
Guests are required to bring their own swimming towels.
No refunds are provided for guests who depart early.
Each unit accommodates a maximum of six guests. Additional guests can be accommodated at an extra cost if arranged in advance. The rate is based on six guests per unit. The seventh and (maximum) eighth guests will be charged R200 per person in high and low season and R300 per person in peak season, payable on arrival.
Keys must be returned to the owners before departure, and the unit should be left in the same condition as it was found.
Animals are welcome by prior arrangement, and additional costs may apply.
All guests will receive a contract and indemnity form, which must be signed and returned before check-in.
Toiletries are not provided; guests must bring their own for the duration of their stay.
A basic cleaning service is provided once a week for stays longer than seven days. This includes making the beds, changing sheets, and cleaning the unit. A full-time cleaning service can be arranged at an additional cost.
Excessive noise is not permitted.
There is no SABC reception, however, Wi-Fi is available along with Smart TVs, a DVD player, and a DVD collection. Netflix is free, and DStv or other internet channels can be accessed if guests provide their own membership details.

The lounge has a comfortable couch and a smart TV with an internet connection for watching programs online. DStv is available if you bring your own Smart card. There is a long table for 8 in the lounge area. The unit leads out onto a patio and an outdoor braai area. There is also an outside shower. From the unit is a pathway directly to the beachfront.
