Comfortable, noisy, owner totally missing. Honestly, a nice location and the units are really comfortable and well looked after. The aircon is a massive bonus, as well as the bed, TV and WiFi. I stayed for 4 nights for a little break and for business. It would have been really nice to meet the owner, who I never laid eyes upon for the 4 days I was there. When I arrived, I was queried on who I was, even though I was in contact with the owner a day before. During my stay, the toilet broke and flooded the bathroom. The lady who cleaned the cabins was very friendly, although I would have preferred to have met the owner to make the stay as homely as possible. I was never asked if I was comfortable and/or needed anything. At night, there is a group of workers who arrive very late to sleep in the cabins, make a racket and shout, and then leave early the next morning. Also, the gates to the property do not lock; they just close, and that is a bit of a worry. Unpleasant. We stayed at Mist of Gold for 2 nights. First night was good, was very pleasant. When we woke up the next morning, there was no power. Then we went to do our day's work, very hot day. Then came back just after seven with a view to a nice cooled room and just to be quiet. Upon arrival, still no power. Good day Unfortunately, this was an Eskom issue. We pay for our power and rates and taxes but cannot control our pathetic government services. We rented a generator and yes, unfortunately, it was noisy; yes, air cons tripped the generator, so we had no option but to not let them run. In future, we have invested in battery fans for if this happens again. The WiFi was off due to no power. We did apologise for the inconvenience and did the best we could in the situation.
