Moody Blue Cottage and is a charming self-catering unit located in the picturesque village of Fouriesburg, situated in the heart of the Eastern Free State. Just 8 km from the Caledon border post into Lesotho, 25 minutes from Clarens, 30 minutes from Ficksburg, and 35 minutes from Golden Gate National Park, it serves as an ideal base from which to explore the region’s natural beauty and attractions.
The cottage comfortably accommodates 4 adults, with a Snooza fold-out bed available for a fifth guest if needed. The main bedroom features a queen-size bed with an electric blanket, while the second bedroom has 2 single beds, also fitted with electric blankets for added warmth on chilly evenings. The bathroom is equipped with a deep soak bath, a shower, a basin, and a separate toilet. Linen and towels are provided.
The open-plan lounge and dining area offer a welcoming space for relaxation, complete with a smart TV and a dining table for 4. The well-equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, gas stove, air fryer, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. There is also a washing machine for guests to use. Fibre internet access is free for guests to use.
Guests have access to secure parking in a motorised garage, with motorbikes also welcome. Outside, the cottage features a covered verandah with seating and a gas braai, overlooking a manicured garden where a variety of birdlife can be spotted. At night, the area offers breathtaking views of the star-filled Free State skies.
Moody Blue Cottage provides a comfortable and peaceful stay, perfect for rest and relaxation. For those who wish to dine out, Fouriesburg offers a selection of restaurants and pubs, where visitors can enjoy hearty meals and warm Free State hospitality.
