Description
Moon Mountain Lodge is a tented lodge situated at the foot of the Naukluft Mountains, approximately 56 km from Sesriem, the gateway to Sossusvlei, which is known for its towering dunes. The lodge is also located near the village of Solitaire, making it an ideal base from which to explore the surrounding desert landscape.
Accommodation is offered in individually decorated tented units that combine comfort with natural surroundings. Each unit contains a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, and opens onto a private deck with expansive views. A private splash pool is also available at each unit, offering a secluded space for relaxation.
Breakfast and dinner are included in the rates and are served in the on-site restaurant, where locally sourced Namibian and South African produce is used in the preparation of meals. A selection of wines from the Cape is available to complement the dining experience.
Additional on-site facilities include a fully licensed bar with an adjoining sun deck, offering views over the Namib Desert and Petrified Dunes. The lodge also features a cinema room with a flat-screen TV, DStv channels, surround sound, and a DVD player. This space can also be utilised for small conferences of up to 17 delegates.
