Mount Sheba Rainforest Hotel and Resort is nestled on the Panorama Route, 22 km outside Pilgrim’s Rest, offering unique accommodation within an indigenous rainforest. The area is home to Samango monkeys and Knysna turacos, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers.
Nature greets you with crystal-clear mountain springs where you can bathe, shower, and swim in pure, fresh, and invigorating water. Flowing directly from high-altitude springs, this naturally filtered water is clean and safe to drink.
The hotel features 25 rooms, including 4 family suites that sleep 4 and 2 king suites for 2 guests. Each room has a private patio or balcony. The king suites offer a king-size bed and a lounge area, while the family suites include a separate bedroom with a queen-size bed and 2 single beds in the living area. All rooms come equipped with a fireplace, TV with selected DStv channels, bar fridge, and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Also available is a fenced-off self-catering house with 3 bedrooms: a main bedroom with a king-size bed, a second bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a third bedroom with two single beds—ideal for children. The house includes a bathroom with a shower and basin, a separate toilet, and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, crockery, and cutlery. Free Wi-Fi is available. Guests wishing to bring dogs should enquire about pet policies in advance.
The resort boasts 11 accredited walking trails leading to waterfalls and scenic viewpoints. Fly fishing is offered at an additional cost, with a strict no catch-and-release policy.
