Best views, peaceful, off-grid living at its finest. We visited over the Easter weekend to celebrate a friend’s birthday (and take on the bungee jump!) and couldn’t have picked a better place to stay. Check-in was a breeze, and Janet gave us the warmest welcome - complete with a bit of local history and a lovely gift hamper filled with goodies from the farm. The cabin is clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up for true off-grid living, with solar panels and a small battery system. And the views? Absolutely breathtaking. Whether you’re enjoying a coffee and rusk on the deck in the morning or lighting up the braai in the evening, the valley stretches out in front of you like something out of a postcard. One of our favourite touches was the outdoor shower - highly recommend it for the view alone! We only wish we had more time to explore the hiking routes that start right from the cabin. It’s the perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and breathe a little deeper. Big thanks again to Janet for her incredible hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely stay, good solitude and beautiful. Great stay. It's very remote (about 15 min to do the 2 km) from the main homestead. Technical drive that requires reasonable clearance and maybe diff lock capability in rain. There are 2 x 30 m sections of loose gravel up a hill(s), both ways. There is 600 W / hr of power usage for a few hours every day. Owners provided some nice treats in the fridge. I would not go with young kids under 5 nor use it as a base for the greater area. This is a place to go for solitude and away time. The quietness and remoteness, coupled with beautiful views, is amazing. It's very rustic. The outside shower has better water pressure and constant heat compared to the indoor shower. The hike to the river pools is 45 min with a 600 m descent, over 1.5 km. River pools can be accessed with full 4x4 capability, but will require an experienced driver for the last 200 m. I recommend thicker curtains, 3 of the 5 mattresses to be upgraded in the medium term, maybe two sinks in the kitchen, and a line cut to access the riverbed/stream where the thick reeds and bushes are near the pools. The braai fireplace is quite small and requires careful management to contain the flames from burning adjacent forest shrub. Overall, a great stay with very helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make it a memorable few days away. There is a shop with everything, 2 min from the main homestead; and cellphone tower signal and 3G is strong at Narina Cliffs.
