Quirky No. 24 is a distinctive self-catering holiday home tucked away in the popular Silversands area of Betty’s Bay. Also known as “The Up-cycled Queen” and “The Funky Shelter”, this artist-inspired retreat offers a unique stay for guests seeking a peaceful escape surrounded by nature. Located approximately 400 m from the beach, the property enjoys beautiful mountain views and is within easy reach of local attractions such as Stony Point Penguin Colony and Harold Porter National Botanical Garden.
The house can accommodate up to 4 guests and comprises 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Both bedrooms are furnished with double beds, and each bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and bath towels are provided for guests’ convenience.
The home is semi off-grid and features a kitchen equipped with a gas stove, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and an indoor braai area. The living space offers comfortable seating, and WiFi is available. Hot water is supplied via gas geysers, while solar lighting and candles create a warm atmosphere. Please note that limited electrical points are available, with the microwave and fridge connected to a single outlet. The bathrooms do not have built-in lighting, but portable lights can be used.
The living area leads out to outdoor spaces where guests can enjoy braai facilities and the natural surroundings. Pets are welcome by prior arrangement. The area offers a variety of activities including swimming, surfing, sandboarding, and hiking trails, all within easy reach of the property.
