The location is peaceful, the venue is built for relaxation. We received a message the morning before our arrival with instructions for keys/alarm etc. On arrival, it was a seamless experience to settle in and relax. We enjoyed the views over coffee of the area, including beach views in the distance. The space was clean and welcoming with lots of kitchen utensils on offer. We got to enjoy the hot tub on our second night. It was our first time using a wood-fired hot tub, so it was a bit of a learning curve but enjoyable nonetheless. Overall, the location is peaceful, the venue is built for relaxation, and close to the beach, shops etc. Check out was also seamless and pleasant.

Very nice and with a few minor additions it would be excellent. In general, our stay was very pleasant. Unfortunately, we were unable to get the wood-fired hot tub warm enough to get in. I did get a good fire going and added several bags of wood over 3 hours, but the water did not warm up. Perhaps a cover during the warming up phase would help, as I think any heat that was generated evaporated straight away. We found the toilets to be positioned unusually high and can only assume the owners are very tall people. Everything else was very nice, but be aware that during winter months the property is not exposed to direct sunlight due to the mountain behind. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture was also comfortable and of good quality. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything one would need for a short stay. Aside from the minor points mentioned above, we found the home comfortable and nicely decorated. The communication for entering and exiting the property, along with information about the local area, was well done and very useful. Running a holiday rental property is no easy task, and the hosts have produced a very nice example for a brief family getaway.

The stay was not to our liking because of the shortage of a few things. The stay was wonderful; it's just that the pool heater does not heat the water and there was no wood available for fire. The place wasn't totally clean, there wasn't an axe to chop firewood, and you have to drive long distances to get to a store that sells firewood.
