Description
Ons Klein Huisie is an authentic rural self-catering cottage situated at the foot of the Riviersonderend Mountains in the small farming village of Bereaville, approximately 10 km from Greyton in the Western Cape. The property offers a rustic countryside experience surrounded by nature, making it well-suited for laid-back travellers, artists, hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, and animal lovers.
The cottage comprises 1 bedroom and a small loft area and can accommodate up to 3 guests. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed, while the loft area is furnished with a single bed suitable for a child over 10 years. The bathroom is newly renovated and fitted with a large shower and basin with hot water. A separate outhouse with a flushing toilet is located just behind the cottage.
The open-plan living area includes a fully equipped kitchenette fitted with a 2-plate gas stove, air fryer, Queen Anne woodstove, and full-sized fridge-freezer. A dining area, comfortable couch, desk, and reading space are also provided, offering a relaxed indoor setting for guests.
Outdoor facilities include a private braai area with seating overlooking the valley, as well as a small fenced private front garden. Off-street parking is provided behind locked gates. Free Wi-Fi is available, although mobile reception in the area is limited.
The cottage is located within a working rural village environment where dirt roads, free-roaming livestock, and a close-knit community form part of the setting. Greyton is located nearby and offers restaurants, art galleries, shops, and popular weekly markets.
