Paardeplaats Nature Retreat offers self-catering accommodation on an off-the-grid farm situated in the Long Tom Pass, just outside of Mashishing (Lydenburg). This farm is surrounded by unspoiled mountain landscapes, waterfalls and indigenous forests, this unique retreat is ideal for nature lovers, hikers, birders, and anyone seeking a soulful break from the busy city life.
Guests have a choice between 5 cosy rooms, each with their own entrance and private bathroom. In addition, the units feature comfortable beds, quality linen and bath towels, tea- and coffee-making facilities, a private patio and a communal kitchen and lounging area. Access to Wi-Fi is available.
The property boasts a communal picnic and braai area and guests can enjoy private walking and hiking trails, explore ancient gold diggings, mountain streams, or simply relax and take in the panoramic views. Secure parking, gas and solar power are available on the premises. Local amenities such as shops and restaurants can be enjoyed in Mashishing (Lydenburg) that is approximately 13 km away. Mbombela (Nelspruit) is approximately 88 km away.
