Scattered over the private Jembisa Game Reserve, Palala River Cottages offers four self-catering accommodation options - River Cottage, Kingfisher Cottage, Podica Bush Camp and Samia Cabin - which are all different and can accommodate couples looking for a romantic getaway, to families after adventure and fun, or groups of friends.The units are fully self-catered - please note that there is no restaurant on the premises and the closest shops are in Vaalwater. Meals can be ordered in advance from the Palala Pantry.

Ideal for the adventurer, nature enthusiast, and relaxation seeker, the activities on-site include exploring the reserve on foot, by car or bike, mountain biking, bird watching or fishing. There is also a wide range of additional activities that can be booked, subject to availability and extra costs, such as guided game drives and bush walks, visits to archaeological sites on the reserve and massage treatments for those looking for more relaxation.

Activities in the surrounding areas include safari horseback riding, big 5 game drives, safari golf, shopping at African curio art shops, adventurous zip lining and cultural tours - subject to availability.
