Description
Palmwag Campsite is a peaceful campsite ideal for nature lovers. The campsite is situated between Kaokoland and the Skeleton Coast, where the flat-topped Etendeka mountains and the carpet of rich red rock greet the tributaries of the Uniab River. The campsite comprises 18 spacious sites, most of which are situated next to the river bed with splendid views.
Each campsite has a power point, a light, a wash basin, and a fire pit. The communal ablution facilities provide hot-water showers. At Palmwag, the camper has ample choices, where they can partake in the many activities in the wildlife-rich Palmwag Concession, take a dip in the swimming pool at the lodge, or enjoy a bite to eat at the pool bar at the lodge. Activities can be booked for an additional per person charge. The lodge is located 107 m from the campsite.
Elephants, drawn by the water in the river, have been known to venture through the lodge grounds and campsite at night, so keep your eyes open for these pachyderm friends. Delight in the rugged Damaraland beauty from this peaceful spot.
