Reis Nature Escape is a luxurious private bush retreat situated within a family-friendly Big Five game reserve. The lodge offers a perfect blend of authentic bushveld adventure and modern comfort, with easy access from Johannesburg while feeling worlds away from city life. Guests are able to enjoy the untamed wilderness, scenic views, and a range of on-site activities, including game drives, horse riding, spa treatments, and nearby golf. The property provides an ideal setting for family safaris, luxury escapes with friends, or a tranquil bush break.
The lodge comfortably accommodates families and groups in five air-conditioned bedrooms. The main bedroom contains a queen-size bed with a full en-suite bathroom, while the second and third bedrooms each feature a queen bed and two single beds, with shower en-suites. The fourth bedroom has two single beds with a shower en-suite. A fifth bedroom above the kitchen includes two three-quarter beds, a shower, toilet, and basin. Every bedroom is furnished with bed linens, extra pillows and blankets, closet space, and air-conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests.
The open-plan lounge, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen flow seamlessly through large stack-away glass doors onto a private outdoor space. Guests are welcomed to relax by the swimming pool, enjoy meals at the outdoor dining area, or gather around the architecturally designed boma and fire pit. The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, mini bar, kettle, toaster, and cooking basics, while the dining area provides ample seating. Additional amenities include a tumble dryer, washing machine, bar fridge, DStv, smart TV, free streaming services, and Wi-Fi access where needed.
On-site facilities are designed for both relaxation and entertainment. Guests have access to a private swimming pool, pool table, mini golf, table tennis, and a fireplace. Free secure parking is available with a carport and driveway, and safety is ensured with 24-hour security, fire extinguishers, and inverter power backup. Firewood, bath and swimming towels, and basic convenience items are supplied. On-site restaurants, coffee shops, and convenience stores within the reserve offer additional options for dining and shopping.
