Highly recommend this luxury stay with fantastic hosts. River Tree House was better than expected - I saw another reviewer say that and can 100% agree based on our experience. The house is positioned on a slope above the Onrus River and there's a garden path from the house to the river. There is lots of bird life (hosts provide binoculars which was a lovely touch). The house is beautifully decorated and exceptionally comfortable with all amenities, a large fireplace that was amazing in the winter evenings and a hot tub which we enjoyed. The hosts were very communicative and exceptionally kind and generous. We travelled with our dogs and were delighted that River Tree House was pet friendly. I highly recommend River Tree House.

Beatiful modern house. Advert needs to be updated some details incorrect. Beautiful house, very comfortable and well equipped. Everything you can think of is provided for you. The views are amazing and we really felt relaxed. There were a few negative aspects, and the "advertising" of the accommodation needs to be clearer. The amenities advertised include a "hot tub", but we were only advised at 7 a.m. on the morning of check-in that this is in fact a "gas-heated splash pool". We were not informed at the time of booking that this is an extra add-on and that we would need to refill the gas at our own expense. When we arrived, the gas was empty, so we could not even use the pool on arrival, and we didn’t get it refilled as it rained for the rest of our stay. We specifically chose River Tree because it was advertised as having a "hot tub", and in winter this is a bonus—especially for the kids. The advert and follow-up emails from the website also gave incorrect check-in and check-out times. The advert states check-in from 2 p.m. and check-out before 12 p.m., but we were advised by the host at 7 a.m. on the morning of our arrival that check-in is after 10 a.m. and check-out is at 10 a.m. The actual arrival and departure times weren’t communicated clearly before we were due to check in. Nice family visit. We really enjoyed the time, very neat tasteful and well equipped house. It was perfectly located, and we really enjoyed our morning walks to the beach and got in some exercise!
