Description
Saamrus Guest Farm is situated in Magaliesburg and is surrounded by indigenous woodland, rolling hills, and abundant birdlife. Peaceful self-catering accommodation is offered in 9 fully equipped cottages, each with a private fenced garden, cosy indoor fireplace, well-appointed kitchenette, and comfortable bedroom and bathroom facilities. All cottages are pet-friendly, and pets are accommodated at no additional cost. Guests are invited to bring their own DStv decoder if preferred.
Guests are provided with a choice of mountainside cottages with panoramic views or riverside cottages located near the stream, swimming pool, and birdlife-rich areas. Hill cottages are best accessed with a high-clearance or 4x4 vehicle, while riverside cottages are accessible with standard vehicles. Private braai areas are provided at each cottage, and secure shaded parking is available on-site.
The farm offers more than 500 hectares of mountains, forest, and grassland, where extensive walking and hiking trails are available for exploration. Guests and their dogs are welcome to enjoy the river paths, viewpoints, and woodland trails, and well-socialised dogs are permitted to run off-leash along the designated routes. Scenic picnic spots and mountain biking areas are provided for additional recreational activities.
Tranquillity, privacy, and a pet-friendly environment are emphasised throughout the farm, making it suitable for romantic getaways, outdoor adventures, and relaxing weekend or extended stays. The combination of natural surroundings, well-equipped cottages, and leisure facilities ensures a comfortable and memorable countryside experience for all guests.
