Description
Savannah Game & River Retreat is situated on a 1 000-hectare game farm on the banks of the Vaal River, approximately 15 km from the artists' village of Parys. Located in the Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site, the retreat is home to a variety of mammal species and offers a range of activities and facilities, including hiking trails, fishing spots, birdwatching, game drives, mountain biking, picnics, stargazing, wedding and conference facilities.
Guests can choose from a range of accommodation options, including tented chalets overlooking the bushveld, lodge rooms overlooking the recreational area, or rondavels overlooking the swimming pool. All units have en-suite bathrooms and tea- and coffee-making facilities.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the viewing deck, in the lapa or in the breakfast room. Room service is available by prior arrangement, and a cash bar is also available on site.
