False advertising, long check-in times, unfinished unit. Review of Kalifa 127 (Short Stay Accommodation). Stay Dates: Check-in January 3, 2026 | Check-out January 4, 2026. Overall experience: Disappointing – significant discrepancies between the advertised listing and reality, combined with operational issues, made this a frustrating short stay. Key issues encountered: Delayed check-in and operational inefficiency. Official check-in time was 4:00 PM, but due to extremely high guest volume, the process dragged on until around 5:00 PM. We only gained access to the unit at approximately 5:15 PM. This one-hour delay ate into our limited stay and set a poor first impression. Cleaning not completed on time. Upon finally entering the unit, the cleaners were still actively working inside. The floors were wet (likely from mopping), which made the space feel unprepared and somewhat unsafe to walk on immediately. This suggests poor timing/coordination by the property management, especially problematic for a short overnight stay. Misrepresentation of unit location and view. The listing advertised the unit as a second-floor apartment, with photos showcasing an elevated view. In reality, we were assigned a ground-floor unit, which completely changed the experience. Ground-floor placements in these types of buildings often mean obstructed or minimal views. This was a major letdown, as the view was one of the main selling points implied by the photos and description. Summary and recommendation. This stay fell short on multiple fronts: poor check-in efficiency, unclean/unfinished unit upon arrival, and most importantly, a clear mismatch between the advertised second-floor positioning and the actual ground-floor assignment. The latter feels like false advertising, as the view is a core reason we booked this unit. I would not recommend Kalifa 127 based on this experience, particularly for short stays where smooth check-in and accurate listing details are crucial. If you're considering booking, double-check the floor level in writing with the host beforehand, and be prepared for potential delays during peak periods.
