Description
Serendipity Guest Farm, Byrne Richmond, is a peaceful self-catering guest & working farm, situated in the beautiful Byrne Valley. The 2 chalet's accommodate 4 guests and there are beautiful farm surroundings with 360-degree views of the forest and mountains where you can listen to the many birds & wildlife in the area. There is often snow in winter on the farm and nearby mountain tops where you can enjoy a winter wonderland. All chalets are designed with an authentic rustic style to suite the nature and outdoor living areas, including using most of the natural finishes available in and around the farm and forest area.
The Back packers is a full 94sqm thatched accommodation with 2 showers, toilet and full kitchen area set in an open plan environment. There are 5 double beds and a single bed in the unit to accommodate the larger families.
The Camper is our newest edition to the farm for a couple's getaway, which a remodelled caravan with a luxurious Double bed inside to enjoy the good old camping days without the effort while enjoying your stay!
Additional facilities include a braai facility at each chalet, offering spectacular views ideal for sundowners. Guests can enjoy mountain biking or hiking routes in the nearby forest or on the farm including trails through the Minerva Nature reserve. Fishing & water sports are available at nearby dams, including Beaulieu & Baynesfield Big Dam. Guests are also welcome to join in the morning and afternoon feeding of the cattle, ducks, chickens and piglets for the little ones with a tour and information day.
The farm features a jacuzzi pool with spectacular mountain views when seated inside & heated for the winter days. We have a few benches where you can sit and enjoy the whimsical environment surrounding the farm!
There is free Wi-fi & heated blankets in the chalets and Camper van for the cold winter nights to enjoy a book or read online!
The farm is a green farm, where we have a full solar-only system, satellite internet and fresh spring water on-site right to your tap along with an organic-meat butchery and small tuck shop in case of the extra little things required or forgotten. All animals on our farm are fed organically with no-hormones or additives given.
