Shady Glade is a cozy self-catering unit with a private entrance, located on the owner's property in Assagay. It's ideal for corporate or leisure travellers.
Hillcrest/Assagay is conveniently located almost halfway between Durban and Pietermaritzburg. We are just 40 minutes from King Shaka Airport and 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches and promenade along Durban's waterfront, from the Umgeni River mouth to the Harbour entrance.
The famous Shongweni Farmers Market is about 10kms from Shady Glade, with the Shongweni Polo Club only 5 kms away.
The iconic Mushroom Farm boasts small, locally owned shops with produce, clothing, plants, mushrooms artisanal breads, concrete garden statues, bonsai plants, antique and cottage furniture, horse grooming and saddlery and a quaint cafe which serves up tasty dishes and healthy smoothies, as well as amazing cappuccinos.
Kearsney College and the 1000 Hills is 2 kms up the hill. More interesting craft shops and great restaurants and garden nurseries are to be found here.
The Midlands Meander is an easy day trip from Shady Glade with a huge choice of shops, cafes, breweries and breathtaking scenery.
The village of Hillcrest is 4kms away and boasts restaurants to suit all palates and tastes. Nearby is the village of Waterfall where the main shopping centre offers a wide selection of shops, eateries and cinemas.
SHADY GLADE can comfortably accommodate 2 guests in a double bed. The unit has 2 chairs, a wardrobe, a bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is also a breakfast table and bench, and guests have access to free Wi-Fi.
The private bathroom is fitted with a toilet, bath and shower. Linen and towels are provided.
