Beautiful, relaxed farm atmosphere in a very comfortable unit on a farm. We stayed one night in Shearers Cottage B. The accommodation is excellent and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Nice white linen on the bed, white towels, and soap at the sink. Nice couch to sit on, kitchen had a large fridge for food and drinks. Large covered patio with a built-in braai, wood was available at R75 per bag. We ordered a braai pack with lamb chops and sausages which was delicious. There was a table and chairs where you could eat and listen to the night sounds. The view over the trees with the wind whistling through them was so nice to listen to. Wildebeest visited us regularly and two large tortoises enjoyed the grass on our front porch. This contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. The hostess was very nice and friendly. Parking was next to the cottage which made packing and unpacking convenient. We enjoyed our stay very much, and the beautiful view along the route was worth it. We can recommend the accommodation as an excellent stay and we would like to go there again one day.

Quiet with everything one needs to relax. We had a wonderful break at Shearer's Cottage. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, safe and truly nourishing for the soul. We went for walks with our dog and the wide open spaces did our hearts a lot of good. The goats graze happily around the cottage and it just makes you grateful for our beautiful earth.

A treat in the Karoo. Jackal Dance was much more than we expected. It truly is a piece of heaven on earth. Yes, it is a bit of a detour, but worth every extra kilometre. Do yourself a favour and try their Karoo lamb, you will be driving back for more. A gem in the Karoo!

Was a very peaceful and good experience in the Karoo. Very beautiful and everything one could expect. Will definitely visit again in the tranquility of the Loxton area and the place to stay was exactly what we were looking for.

Brilliant. It is probably one of the neatest farms I have ever seen. With the drought, everything still looks perfect. This is a must when driving through Loxton.

Beautiful place in the heart of the Karoo. Nice stay. Apart from the first 5 km from Loxton which is a bit poor, the rest of R381 to Beaufort West (which is partly tarred) is very scenic.

Fantastic place! It's a beautiful farm and we really enjoyed our time there! Our kids enjoyed the space - especially because they could ride bikes! The decor is very beautiful - thank you for a lovely place.
