Description
Silhouette Farmhouse Beach Escape is a peaceful self-catering retreat on a quiet working farm, known for its beautiful sunsets and relaxed atmosphere. Situated in Kwelera, just outside East London, the home is ideally positioned between Chintsa to the east and Gonubie to the west. Popular beaches such as Sunrise-on-Sea, Kwelera, Chintsa East and West are all within a quick 5–15 minute drive. Guests have the entire house and both gardens to themselves. The farm road is short (about 200 m), and small cars like a Polo or Mercedes manage it comfortably.
Location and Activities: The property is close to a wide range of activities, including surfing, kayaking, quad bike safaris, horse riding, and game drives. Areena and Inkwenkwezi Private Game Reserve are both nearby, offering wildlife encounters such as giraffe interactions. With clear skies and minimal light pollution, the area is also perfect for stargazing.
The house: The farmhouse accommodates up to 8 guests and offers three spacious bedrooms. The main bedroom features a king-size bed, a walk-in his-and-hers closet, his and hers dressing tables, and an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, and toilet. The second bedroom has two three-quarter beds, while the third has one three-quarter bed and one single bed, both with large cupboards and dressing tables. A double sleeper couch in the lounge provides additional sleeping space. The second full bathroom is conveniently located near the guest bedrooms, and there is an extra outside pool room toilet and basin outside near the pool and Braai. All linen, as well as bath and beach towels, are provided.
The living area includes a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, microwave, round convection oven, kettle, cutlery and crockery, plus tea- and coffee-making facilities. The adjoining scullery has a fridge-freezer, dishwasher (please bring your own tablets), and washing-up area. Essentials such as oil, salt, pepper, and hand soaps are supplied. The lounge includes a dining table, sleeper couch, and a wall-mounted TV with HDMI cable, an older laptop, and a USB-C to HDMI adapter. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the house.
The entertainment area: A bar and Braai area with a bar fridge and freezer leads out to the garden, where guests can enjoy an outdoor undercover braai overlooking the lawn and a small sparkling swimming pool. Please note that firewood and firelighters are not provided.
