Nice place overall, but communication and processes need to be improved.
Firstly, Julia was lovely and did in the end make our stay much more comfortable. However, on the day we were arriving, we were informed that a school camp was on the farm and that they may make a bit of noise. Seeing as I had already paid and was arriving soon, I had little choice but to just carry on. Upon arrival, we were directed to a chalet that was 5 m away from the main complex where the kids were playing, music was blasting, and we were informed that this would continue until 10 pm! We were then informed that we need to run through a checklist of all the items in the unit. We started with the bed. How on earth are people stealing the beds? Even the built-in wardrobe is on the list. Spoons, knives, pillows, blankets, water, plugs, broken windows, holes in ceilings - all of this you have to sit through. It was 3 pages long and took over 20 minutes. I was then asked to tick off my own list. Apparently, before you leave, you get to do this all over again. This chalet never should have been booked out with a school camp in progress and right outside the unit. Secondly, we are not school children, but rather professional adults, so running through a list so extensive and on my time is beyond ridiculous. Nice place overall, but communication and processes need to be improved.
