Description
Simbonga Game Reserve and Sanctuary is a unique wildlife escape located approximately 20 km outside the coastal town of Jeffrey’s Bay. Set against a backdrop of majestic mountains and wide-open plains, the reserve offers an immersive bush experience where guests can enjoy nature, wildlife, and tranquillity in a truly unspoilt setting.
Accommodation is provided in luxury safari-style tents designed for comfortable self-catering stays. Each tent is furnished with double and/or single beds and includes a private en-suite bathroom as well as braai facilities, ensuring a relaxed and convenient bushveld experience. Please note that accommodation layouts and styles may vary between units.
The reserve is home to free-roaming wildlife that moves naturally throughout the property, often passing close to guest accommodation and creating an authentic safari atmosphere. Species such as zebra, giraffe, impala, wildebeest, blesbok, and various antelope can be viewed in their natural environment.
Guests can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including hiking and mountain biking, as well as access to plunge pools on the farm (subject to water availability and restrictions). The surrounding landscape offers sweeping views of mountains, open plains, and diverse wildlife.
Simbonga Game Reserve and Sanctuary is also home to the Warriors of Wildlife Sanctuary, which provides a safe haven for rescued big cats, adding a meaningful conservation element to the guest experience.
