Description
SSkilpad Spoortjies Mountain Retreat is a secluded self-catering unit located in the picturesque Langkloof near Kareedouw, approximately 5 km from the R62 via a gravel mountain pass. (Please note that a high ground-clearance vehicle is recommended.) The retreat is surrounded by the Tsitsikamma and Zuuranys Mountains and offers wide, scenic views of the mountains and fynbos. Plettenberg Bay and Jeffreys Bay are about 90 km away, Gqeberha is approximately 120 km away, and George is around 180 km away.
The private unit accommodates 2 guests and features an open-plan layout with a queen-size bed and a bathroom with a toilet. The shower is an outdoor shower located on the stoep, and there is no indoor shower. Linen and bath towels are provided.
The kitchenette is suitable for basic self-catering and includes a small fridge, a two-plate gas stove, kettle, crockery, cutlery, and basic cooking utensils. Cooking oil, salt, pepper, tea, coffee, and milk are provided. A small dining table offers seating for 2 guests. Large doors and windows allow plenty of natural light and uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape.
The outdoor area features a stoep, patio, garden, outdoor dining area, braai facilities, and outdoor furniture with beautiful mountain views. Secure parking is available behind a gate near the unit. The retreat operates off-grid with solar power and water supplied from tanks. Guests can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, and walking trails in and around the property.
