Description
This charming 3-bedroom home sleeps 6 guests and is set high above Glencairn Beach with beautiful ocean and mountain views. The home is a short drive from Boulders Beach, Cape Point, Simon’s Town, Kalk Bay and Chapman’s Peak Drive, and is best suited to guests who enjoy elevated locations, natural surroundings and a comfortable coastal retreat with a sense of adventure.
Upstairs features an open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area. The king bedroom is located just off the living space and offers an en-suite bathroom with a shower and a private balcony. The queen bedroom also has its own balcony, ideal for morning coffee with a view. Downstairs, there is a twin bedroom and a family bathroom with a shower over the bath.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a fridge-freezer, stove, oven, air fryer, microwave, kettle, dishwasher, cutlery and crockery. A steep staircase leads to a loft-style mezzanine overlooking the lounge, furnished with a TV and bean bags for a cosy relaxation space.
The lounge opens onto a wooden deck with a 6-seater outdoor dining table. The home also offers a Weber charcoal braai, an indoor fireplace and air conditioning in the king bedroom, queen bedroom and lounge. For remote work, the main bedroom provides a large desk, while the coffee nook and dining table also offer suitable workspaces.
As the house is positioned high on the mountain and close to the ocean, it can be exposed to wind, particularly during Cape Town’s summer months. Guests may notice wind noise and stronger breezes on the outdoor steps, which form part of the natural coastal setting and are balanced by the exceptional views.
