Description
Somabula Nature Reserve – Shibala Chalet is located on a game farm between Rayton and Cullinan, less than an hour’s drive from Pretoria and Johannesburg. It accommodates up to four guests seeking a peaceful getaway.
The chalet has two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. The upstairs main bedroom has a double bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds.
The outdoor kitchenette is equipped with a small gas stove and sink. Comfortable seating is provided, and there is a braai (barbecue) area in the garden. The chalet is supplied with solar lights and a gas geyser. The spacing between units ensures a good level of privacy for guests.
Guests will encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including giraffes, elands, blue wildebeest, nyalas, zebras, red hartebeest, blesbucks, and more, all roaming freely. During their bush-style getaway, guests will be greeted by birdsong and the calls of jackals at dusk.
Hiking trails, a 4x4 route, and mountain biking trails are available. Guests are welcome to bring hiking shoes, bikes, cameras, binoculars, bird guides, a braai grid, and fire starters. This is truly a retreat where guests can relax, connect, spend quality time together, and enjoy nature.
