Sparrow Hawk Lodge offers comfortable farm-stay accommodation on a privately owned farm at the foothills of the Magaliesberg Mountains, 3 km from Hartbeespoort Dam and 1 km from the R512. The lodge is ideal for guests seeking a tranquil getaway with easy access to nearby attractions and outdoor activities.
Accommodation comprises 7 shared, open-plan en-suite units, each tastefully furnished with comfortable beds. The bathrooms are fitted with a bath, shower, basin, and toilet. Each unit includes a bar fridge and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Entertainment is available in the communal areas, including a large TV with movies, sports, kids’ and news channels (DSTV basic package).
On-site facilities include a large guest lounge and centre atrium lounge with leather seating and fireplaces, a bar, upper deck with mountain and dam views, a Jacuzzi, swimming pool with slide, hot tub, open boma with fireplace, mobile braai, well-equipped communal kitchen, darts, table tennis, a small gym, trampoline, and jungle gym/swings for children. Guests should bring their own swimming towels.
The property offers a 1 km hiking trail leading to a secluded deck in a ravine, providing spectacular views of Hartbeespoort Dam and the surrounding mountains. Nearby attractions include hot-air ballooning, boat trips, zip-lining, paintball, horse riding, wildlife sanctuaries, game viewing, cycling, golf, and numerous restaurants and pubs, all within easy reach. Guests are advised to drive carefully on the short gravel road leading to the lodge.
