Description

Situated on the slopes of the majestic Magaliesberg, Stone Manor @ The Donkey Dairy offers comfortably furnished self-catering accommodation on a working donkey farm, just 16 km from Hekpoort and the town of Magaliesburg. The property is fully off-grid and powered by solar energy.

The cottage can accommodate up to 6 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with double beds, while the third bedroom contains 2 single beds. Guests share a bathroom fitted with a shower, and there is an additional guest bathroom with a toilet and washbasin.

The living area features an open-plan design, including a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, cutlery, and crockery. A 6-seater dining table adjacent to the kitchen is perfect for shared meals, while the lounge area offers comfortable seating and a fireplace for colder nights.

Outside, guests have access to additional seating as well as a braai area. Fully off the grid and solar-powered, there’s no TV to distract you—just the chance to reconnect with yourself, your loved ones, and the wonder of the natural world. With complimentary Wi-Fi, it's also the ideal retreat for those looking to work or write from a place of peace and inspiration.

Wander along private hiking trails that wind through the untouched Magaliesberg mountain terrain, take in the breathtaking views from Long Ears Lookout, or drink from our crystal-clear, quartz-infused spring, Brayer’s Eye. Guests are also welcome to help bottle-feed our baby goats—an experience that delights both children and adults. Our friendly team is always available to share stories about our animals and their care.
