Swallow's Dance is said to be one of the oldest cottages in Vermaaklikheid. With thick white-washed walls under a characterful Oregon pine ceiling, this cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other a single bed. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and wash basin. The little front stoep is a perfect coffee /sundowners spot with a lovely view over the valley. The farm style kitchen is well equipped with a two-plate gas stove, fridge/freezer, cutlery, and crockery. There is a dining table, comfy chairs and an open fireplace. Vodacom reception is excellent so bring your mobile data and work from here! Wood is available to purchase. Secure parking is available. Canoes may be available to hire, transported by yourselves to and from the river. Swale View Cottages are 10 km from the beautiful unspoiled Duiwenhoks River estuary and are a 20-minute walk to the public slipway in Vermaaklikheid. ( no parking or mooring available) We are bike-friendly and there are many MTB trails in the area, including the Blombos Trail, and the Witsands Trail. Josie's coffee shop is within walking distance and Cuccina's restaurant is 1.5km from the property- please check on opening times/seasons

There is a dining table, an open fireplace and a comfy couch. This area opens onto a large covered deck with outdoor seating and lovely views over the garden and limestone valleys. There is an outdoor braai area with seating in the garden. Vodacom reception is excellent so bring your mobile data and work from here! Wood is available to purchase. Secure parking is available. Canoes may be available to hire, transported by yourselves to and from the river. Vermaaklikheid has a wide variety of birds, is a good place to catch that elusive kabeljou, and the river is fantastic for paddling your kayak.
