Relax with the family at this peaceful place. Swale View self-catering cottages are within a stone's reach of each other, on a large property in the hamlet of Vermaaklikheid. A good place to disconnect, Vermaaklikheid offers a variety of attractions such as star-gazing, birdwatching, fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating (p.s no skiing or jet skis allowed)mountain biking, and hiking. There are two rustic, well equipped cottages available, sleeping 7 persons in total.
Accommodation is offered in two self-catering cottages Under Milkwood, and Swallow's Dance.
Vodacom reception is excellent so bring your mobile data and work from here! Wood is available to purchase. Secure parking is available. Canoes may be available to hire, transported by yourselves to and from the river.
Swale View Cottages are 10 km from the beautiful unspoiled Duiwenhoks River estuary and are a 20-minute walk to the public slipway in Vermaaklikheid. ( no parking or mooring available) We are bike-friendly and there are many MTB trails in the area, including the Blombos Trail, and the Witsands Trail. Josie's coffee shop is within walking distance and Cuccina's restaurant is 1.5km from the property- please check on opening times/seasons.
There is no supermarket in Vermaaklikheid so please bring all that you may need. We are 35kms from Riversdale, 45kms from Stilbaai ,and 40kms from Witsands.
