Tamboershoek is a working sheep and game farm offering a chalet that is ideal for a family or group of up to 4 guests.
The chalet boasts panoramic views from the patio and features two en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds. Both en-suite bathrooms are fitted with showers.
The open-plan living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, a gas stove with an oven, and a dining area. The lounge also features an indoor fireplace, perfect for chilly Karoo evenings. An outdoor braai (barbecue) area is also available.
Please note that the chalet is powered by solar energy and is equipped with ceiling fans with built-in lights. Additional lighting is provided by oil lamps and rechargeable lights, while hot water is supplied by a gas geyser. There is no cellphone reception on the farm. Wi-Fi is available with speeds of up to 40 Mbps.
The farm is accessed via a gravel road, and a high-clearance vehicle is recommended, although a 4x4 vehicle is not required. There is more than one route to the farm, and guests are encouraged to enquire about the route that best suits their needs. The routes to the farm are also popular with adventure touring motorcycle enthusiasts, fossil hunters, and stargazers.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm on foot, by bakkie (pickup truck), or by bicycle, with birdwatching encouraged throughout the property. Trails are available within the game camp, including one leading to a waterfall. Wildlife on the farm includes blesbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, gemsbok, kudu, the rare klipspringer, and many other species, offering visitors a truly authentic nature experience.
