Tamboershoek is a working sheep and game farm that offers a chalet suitable for a family or group of up to 4 guests.
The chalet offers panoramic views from the patio and features two en-suite bedrooms. The first bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, while the second bedroom has two single beds. Both en-suite bathrooms are fitted with showers.
The open-plan living area includes a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, a gas stove with an oven, and a dining area. The living area also features an indoor fireplace for the cold Karoo evenings. An outdoor braai area is also available.
Please note that the chalet is now powered by solar energy, with ceiling fans fitted with lights. Additional lighting is provided by oil lamps and rechargeable lights, and hot water is supplied by a gas geyser. Cell phone and television reception are not available inside the unit. Wi-Fi is available, with a speed of 40 Mbps.
The farm is accessed via a gravel road, and a vehicle with high ground clearance is recommended, although a 4x4 vehicle is NOT required. More than one route is available, and guests are encouraged to enquire about the route best suited to their needs. The routes to the farm are also popular among semi-off-road touring motorbike enthusiasts, fossil hunters, and stargazers.
Guests are welcome to explore the farm on foot, by bakkie, or by bicycle, with birdwatching encouraged throughout the property. Trails are available within the game camp, including a route leading to a waterfall. Wildlife on the farm includes blesbok, springbok, blue wildebeest, gemsbok, kudu, the rare klipspringer, and more, offering visitors a truly natural experience.
