Nestled within the prestigious Teal & Trout Country Estate in Mpumalanga, this charming farm stay offers the perfect blend of rustic comfort, wide-open nature, and outdoor adventure — ideal for creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Teal & Trout Country Estate Farm Stay comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests across four bedrooms and three bathrooms:
• The main bedroom features a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet.
• The second bedroom offers a double bed.
• The third bedroom has two single beds.
• The fourth bedroom is fitted with two bunk beds, ideal for children.
Guests share a second bathroom with a shower, basin, and toilet, as well as a separate guest bathroom with a basin and toilet.
The open-plan living area is designed for relaxed country living. The fully equipped kitchen includes a gas stove, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery, and a dishwasher for added convenience. A 10-seater dining table creates the perfect space for shared meals and long conversations.
Outside, guests can enjoy the braai and boma area — ideal for evenings under the stars.
Our farm stay offers a true off-grid experience, powered by solar energy, with gas geysers and a traditional hot water donkey for that authentic farm feel.
As we operate on solar power, we kindly request that guests do not bring electric blankets or electric heaters during winter, as these place significant strain on the battery system.
The home warms beautifully with the indoor fireplace, creating a cosy and inviting atmosphere. Hot water bottles are provided for extra comfort. If you tend to feel the cold, we recommend bringing a few extra blankets and warm socks to ensure a snug winter stay.
Please note that there is no WiFi available on the estate due to limited network signal in the area.
If you require internet access for work or entertainment (including streaming), we recommend bringing your own mobile WiFi router and sufficient data for reliable connectivity.
This allows you to truly disconnect and embrace the peaceful surroundings — while still staying connected if needed.
The estate invites you to enjoy fishing, walking trails, trail running, mountain biking, birdwatching, and game viewing — a perfect setting to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature.
For your peace of mind, the estate offers 24-hour security, including controlled access and regular night patrols.
Well-positioned outdoor lighting around the home enhances visibility and safety, allowing you to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of farm life with complete confidence.
